Serenity Beaches Resort

Serenity Beaches Resort (also known as Serenity Eco Retreat) is the ultimate "unplugged" destination. Run by a dedicated team that prioritizes holistic wellness and environmental stewardship, the resort is a place to leave shoes, cars, and televisions behind. The island operates off-grid, using solar and wind power, and serves safe, filtered rainwater. It is most famous for its position in the Ha'apai group, one of the few places on Earth where humans can legally and safely swim with humpback whales. From July to October, the resort’s own 30-foot boat takes guests to encounter mothers and calves in an intimate, life-changing setting. It is a "barefoot" luxury experience where the luxury is found in the silence, the stars, and the raw beauty of a deserted beach.

Accommodations & Design The resort features five handcrafted fales (bungalows) set back in light tropical vegetation to ensure privacy and shade.

Octagonal Fales: Wooden structures with half-walls and shades that allow guests to open the room entirely to nature.

The Primary Suite: The "Bali House" and larger En-suite Fales serve as the premier units, featuring a queen bed on the main floor, a double bed in a loft, and a private outdoor bathroom with a garden shower open to the stars.

Design: High ceilings and open-air layouts designed for cross-ventilation. Beds are outfitted with high-quality linens and mosquito nets.

Amenities & Inclusions The Serenity experience focuses on reconnection and nature:

The Whale Program: Guided boat trips to swim with humpback whales (seasonal). Outside of whale season, the boat is used for reef snorkeling and trips to nearby traditional villages.

Wellness: A dedicated yoga/classroom space for meditation and group retreats. Professional massages are available on-site.

Gastronomy: Wholesome, unprocessed meals prepared by local chefs using fresh fish and island-grown produce.

Recreation: Complimentary use of snorkeling gear, kayaks, and paddleboards. Guests can hike the 6-mile perimeter of the uninhabited island or explore ancient Tongan stone mounds.

How Private Is This Island? Privacy at Serenity Beaches is natural. Because your only neighbors are the few guests in the other four fales and the resident staff. There are no public ferries or day-trippers from the mainland. Alternatively, the Full Island Buyout provides a secure, "gated" wilderness environment where the only foot-prints in the sand are yours. While the resort offers limited internet for a few hours a day, the intentional lack of connectivity creates a mental barrier that ensures total privacy from the outside world.
